The exhibition will open on June 25th with a reception which Mayor Todd Strange and his delegation will attend. The exhibition will be on display until July 31, 2016.

The SUBJECT for the selected art was that it should be reflective of the character and culture of Montgomery and Alabama, as the marble is reflective of Pietrasanta and Italy. The installation will be in the city center, in the Palazzo Panichi Gallery. Upcoming Art Opportunities (Spring 2016)

Pietrasanta, Italy
CALL FOR ENTRIES: Deadline April 1

The members of the Montgomery Art Guild have been offered an exciting opportunity!!

Mayor Todd Strange of Montgomery and Mayor Mallegni of Pietrasanta, Italy, Montgomery’s sister city, have participated in cultural exchanges for several years.  Last year Montgomery residents were treated to an Italian marble exhibit to honor the most recent swearing in of Mayor Strange.  These pieces were by local artists from the Pietrasanta area and exhibited at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts.  It is Mayor Strange’s desire to reciprocate in honor of Mayor Mallegni by sending art from the Montgomery Art Guild artists to Italy!

WANT TO SEND YOUR ART TO ITALY? Read more specific instructions on first page of this MAG website. Additional questions, contact Linda Cappelluzzo at 334-399-2223.

Summer Exhibition at “Art at City Hall Exhibition”

The Art at City Hall Gallery is exhibition space that has been provided by the City of Montgomery for members of the Montgomery Art Guild. The Gallery is located on the second floor of the historic City Hall and is viewed by hundreds of visitors each year as well as city, state and international leaders who visit the Mayor’s office.

The Gallery has three shows each year.  This year’s Summer Exhibition will be done in conjunction with the biannual Montgomery Art Guild Museum Show. Due to space limitations at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts for the MAG Exhibition, there are always many wonderful pieces of art work that are not able to be included into the show. This year the Guild would like to offer artists whose works are not accepted into the museum exhibition the opportunity to show their work to the public at the Art at City Hall Gallery.
