Summer Exhibition at “Art at City Hall Exhibition”

The Art at City Hall Gallery is exhibition space that has been provided by the City of Montgomery for members of the Montgomery Art Guild. The Gallery is located on the second floor of the historic City Hall and is viewed by hundreds of visitors each year as well as city, state and international leaders who visit the Mayor’s office.

The Gallery has three shows each year.  This year’s Summer Exhibition will be done in conjunction with the biannual Montgomery Art Guild Museum Show. Due to space limitations at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts for the MAG Exhibition, there are always many wonderful pieces of art work that are not able to be included into the show. This year the Guild would like to offer artists whose works are not accepted into the museum exhibition the opportunity to show their work to the public at the Art at City Hall Gallery.

If you would like to have your art work considered for the exhibition at the Art at City Hall Gallery, which will run simultaneously with the museum show, please check the box beside the work you would like considered on the MAG/MMFA Call for Entries Registration Form which can be found on the MAG and MMFA websites. After the Juror for the Museum Exhibition has made the selections for that show, any works that artists have selected for consideration for the Summer Exhibition at the Art at City Hall Gallery will be submitted to the Selection Committee at the Gallery. Artists will be notified by May 15 and delivery of art work will be on June 5, from 10:30 – 4:30 to coincide with the delivery date and times for the Museum show. The Show will hang until August 28, 2015.

The Art at City Hall Gallery is a gallery for the benefit of the artists of the Montgomery Art Guild, therefore, art that is hung in the gallery can be entered into other art exhibitions and removed if accepted into another show. For any questions, contact Linda Cappelluzzo at 334-399-2223.
