Many of you are familiar with the annual Making Homes Safe Haven Painted Birdhouse Event. Last year Montgomery Art Guild and The Family Sunshine Center partnered to sponsor a competition that will incorporate the painted birdhouses. We will continue the tradition for 2015.
Our efforts with this project are to give artists an opportunity to give back to the community in raising awareness about domestic violence and its victims by providing its top sponsors with the gift created by local talented artists. We certainly have some wonderful artists and would like to have an enormous presence and support for the Family Sunshine Center. Continue reading

Deadline for entry into the 41st Montgomery Art Guild Museum Exhibition is Saturday, April 3, 2015. This year’s exciting exhibit will be juried by Tom Butler, longtime director of the Columbus Museum. More than $20,000 awards will be presented.

The Art at City Hall Gallery is exhibition space that has been provided by the City of Montgomery for members of the Montgomery Art Guild. The Gallery is located on the second floor of the historic City Hall and is viewed by hundreds of visitors each year as well as city, state and international leaders who visit the Mayor’s office.
The Gallery has three shows each year. This year’s Summer Exhibition will be done in conjunction with the biannual Montgomery Art Guild Museum Show. Due to space limitations at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts for the MAG Exhibition, there are always many wonderful pieces of art work that are not able to be included into the show. This year the Guild would like to offer artists whose works are not accepted into the museum exhibition the opportunity to show their work to the public at the Art at City Hall Gallery.
